Religious Studies - Course Description
Religious Education for key stage 4 has some very exciting and thought provoking lessons waiting in store especially with the new specification A, starting in September 2016 and focuses on faith and practice in the 21st century. This will be the first of a two year course as the new specification GCSE exam will take place in 2018. Emphasis will be given on analysis & interpretation and written assignments, which will help to answer key questions. Students are continuously prepared for the skills needed to be successful at GCSE RS, so there is an emphasis on literacy, using evidence and religious evidence. Students are also directed to make links with the modern World and religion throughout the course.
Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.
